Terms can never consist of any these five characters:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Semicolon (;)<\/li>
  2. Quotation mark (“)<\/li>
  3. Angle brackets (< >)<\/li>
  4. Pipe (|)<\/li>
  5. Tab<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    The ampersand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    When using an ampersand (&) character in the term store they are automatically replaced with a variant of the ampersand character. In SharePoint this variant is always replaced with a regular ampersand so it renders nicely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This rendered ampersand does however not work correctly when used in Quick Parts in Word. Keep this in mind when creating terms. Avoid it if possible.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
